So that traceroute exploit I got working was a heap exploit… Much more difficult than the ordinary stack exploits… no wonder that first exploit I tried didn’t work.

Wish I could claim that I wrote the exploit… oh well.

Space and I are running for the presidency in 2012. I’ll be president, if only because of the age thing. Space is cool with being veep and running the senate with his bat. We’re gonna start planning strategy soon. Our waiter at denny’s already said he’d vote for us, so we’re off to a good start.

So, james got a call from that headhunter guy with the 100k job… he was looking for more linux/unix admins so james started telling him that he should talk to me… gave me rave reviews, apparently. So the headhunter guy called me back up. He told me he wanted to at least get me the opportunity to turn down that job. He said he’ll call me back tomorrow or thursday “if that’s all right with me”. Sure, that’s cool… I’ll take 100k.

FUCK YES! I got a real world exploit working… Using the text for the recent telnet issue (with the -g arg), I managed to modify the code a bit and get it to exec on Shiva. Rock!

Next step is making sure I get what the hell I just did… kinda important.
