Its my birthday… I’ve been awake for 20 minutes and I’ve already been woken up by a phone call (that didn’t take much time out of my 20 minutes, I’ll admit), I’ve spoken to my doctor’s office to cancel an appointment for tonight (that was gonna suck), had buffy jump up and slam me in the crotch (that DID suck), and heard people talking about Florida’s ballots… How very typical.

So, we’re at the hard rock cafe last night, and it was huge for birthdays. Every couple of minutes, there’s some cheer as another birthday gets announced… So, I point at Kai and tell her “don’t even think about it!” (My birthday is this monday.) She give me this shocked look and asks “when have I ever…?”

Yeah, so I got surrounded by half a dozen Hard Rock employees, who sat a small bowl of flavorless ice cream covered in whipped cream and a cherry that must have served its 3 month sentance at the bar, with a broken straw stuffed with matches to serve as a candle… Yay! ;P

Kai, you suck… I must kill you.

I’ve been flaking out on donuts lately. Starting with my trip up north, of course, but it’s continued since I’ve been home. My sleeping schedule has changed a bit, so I haven’t been too comfy with the idea of driving around at 2 am… But I’ve also been off IRC and AIM. It should go back to normal when the ex leaves, but I do kinda feel bad about flaking on James and Space.

What a crazy election, eh? This should really put an end to the argument that one person’s vote doesn’t count.

Everyone is trying to figure out how to handle this… The vote is too close, some say, and we should go off the popular vote. Which is appealing if you’re a Gore supporter. But you can’t change the rules in the middle of an election. Yes, Gore got the popular vote. Yes, I think the popular vote should be used to decide the president instead of our archaic electoral college. But its too late to get rid of the electoral college for THIS election. I hope that I would be saying the same thing, if the situation were reversed.

Frankly, all along I’ve believed that Gore was going to win. I still expect him to pull this out somehow.
