So, james got a call from that headhunter guy with the 100k job… he was looking for more linux/unix admins so james started telling him that he should talk to me… gave me rave reviews, apparently. So the headhunter guy called me back up. He told me he wanted to at least get me the opportunity to turn down that job. He said he’ll call me back tomorrow or thursday “if that’s all right with me”. Sure, that’s cool… I’ll take 100k.

Roamed across two counties with James tonight trying to find a movie or a good place to get drunk… No luck. Made it out to donuts with ty, and z0rk showed up. Was cool seeing the guy. He’s off to Oakland for a while to try to deal with some problems. Best of luck to ya, z0rk!

The spot in Simi where they have the carnival was aflame this morning when I was driving out to donuts. The police were shutting down the freeway, and it looked like they were just going to let it burn itself out… There was a strong wind, blowing toward the highway, so it was unlikely to spread anywhere but toward the pavement…

It was gorgeous… really touched my inner arsonist. I wanted to stop on the side of the road and watch for a while (three other cars already had), but I’m too much the law abider…

I just got a backchannel telnet connection working… That’s when the server connects to you via telnet, which would bypass some firewall rules. Kinda neat. Now if I could only get an exploit to work, I’d be groovin’.

I drove out through Hidden Valley, down Kannan and along the PCH to ventura… Then I came back, took a shower, and pulled off my 1337-0 hax0ring. My knee is about to pop off, though… Ugh.

PI: Dodge This!

Great storyline today, I know… I had envisioned this awesome fight sequence that would put the folks at Marvel to shame… So what went wrong? I can’t draw!

End of the pi-net-quake-matrix storyline… Please return your seats to their original, upright position.

There was just something wrong with my flashlight this morning at about 7am. It just wouldn’t ring right. It kept cycling through all the lines, ringing once, then moving on to the next line. I couldn’t answer the damn thing!

For some reason, my mom just didn’t get what I was saying to her… I was trying to tell her that it was broken, but she looked at me like I was crazy… Bah!

(By the way, this one wasn’t a dream… Just extreme tiredness)
